Salt River First Nation is located in the Northern most part of Alberta and the Southern most part of the Northwest Territories. We are a mix of Cree and Chipewyan people. We have members In the Northwest Territories, British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Ontario and Newfoundland. We also have members in the United States, Germany and Australia.
Message for members
I am reaching out to you today to tell you that Chief and Council will not be travelling to Edmonton this year for our annual per capita distributions. This will be the first year that we will not be hosting a Christmas Brunch. The 14-day quarantine is still active in the NWT. When it is safe to travel again we will host a meeting with members in Edmonton and Area. We will be mailing out all payments this year to members, please ensure all your contact and address information is up to date and please inform Juliette Hunter, the membership Clerk. 1-867-872-2986. Future Job Prospects Inquiry
Salt River First Nation will be accepting resumes from within the Northwest Territories in anticipation of employment opportunities arising out of our Reserve Water, Sewer and Street Infrastructure Development in Fort Smith 2021-2022. Relevant resumes will be given to the successful General Contractor bidder expected to be known by January 2020. All actual hiring decisions will be the responsibility of the General Contractor.
